VITAMIN B COMPLEX B1 (Thiamine): Antioxidant.

B5 (Pantothenic Acid): Usually stored in the body’s organs, vitamin B5 is good for cellular health.

Nice SkinWe are all guilty of them. Sometimes we even do them unknowingly. But these nine habits are ones that can stand between you & having great skin. Are you guilty of these?

Oils leak onto the face – causing acne breakouts

3

4

Wearing Oil-based Makeup & Moisturizers

drink 8 to 10 ounce glasses per day to hydrate skin & flush impurities

Not eating several servings of fruits & veggies each day causes the body & skin to lack essential vitamins & antioxidants that protect skin cells & promote anti-aging

7

Sleeping in Makeup

** RESULT **

Clogged pores & slows down the body’s proper skin renewal & restoration that takes place while you sleep

8

7 Essential Fall Skin Care Tips

by Elegance Makeup: Looks By Uhuru

Autumn Skin Care

It’s time to cure summer damaged skin! The gentler climate of fall is a perfect time for much needed repair that can set you on your way to a flawless winter complexion. Visible results of summer skin damage include extreme discolorations, premature aging, wrinkling and dryness. Proper care can mean the difference between healthy skin and dry flaky skin. ~ Uhuru/Elegance Makeup ~

#1 – DO: MOISTURIZE DAILY

If you want to keep dry skin at under control, you MUST hydrate your skin on a DAILY basis. The best time to apply your lotion is right after you’ve dried off after your shower or bath because it seals in the     moisture that have already been absorbed into your skin.

Vaseline's Intensive Care

FEATURED ITEM: Vaseline's Intensive Care Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Lotion

#2 – DON’T: STOP USING SUN PROTECTION

Despite the lack of sun, you still need to exercise caution when it comes to protecting your skin from UV rays. Winter doesn’t necessarily signal a break from sun exposure because UV rays penetrate clouds and overcast skies, and reflect off water, cement, sand, and snow. Common sites of skin cancer lesions are the areas of the body that endure year round exposure, such as the hands, face and ears. Continue using SPF rated products.

#3 – DO: PROTECT YOUR LIPS

Start moisturizing early to prevent cracked & chapped lips this winter.

Dr. Bronners Organic Lip Balms

#4 – DON’T: DON’T LICK

When all possible, avoid licking your lips. If you do, you’ll only chap your lips even more. Keep a lip balm in your purse and apply frequently or when tempted to lick your lips.

#5 – DO: TRY OIL-BASED SCRUB

I think oily based scrubs are perfect for fall and winter because you are getting the exfoliating benefits with the extra bonus of hydrating oils. And when it comes to oily scrubs, the choices are endless! You can     find scrubs that have a lot of oil swimming on top all the way to scrubs that are more of a solid consistency.

Brown Sugar Body Polish from Fresh

FEATURED ITEM: Brown Sugar Body Polish from Fresh

#6 – DON’T: FORGET ABOUT YOUR FEET

Because your feet are going to be stuck inside boots for months to come, it’s important to take care of them and exfoliate them on a regular basis. That way, when the time comes, you’ll have no problem popping back on your sandals with no shame. Scrub your feet 1-2 times a week and you’ll enjoy soft feet that won’t snag your sheets.

#7 – DO: INVEST IN CUTICLE OIL

One sign of cold weather is dry cuticles. Many times your regular hand cream isn’t heavy-duty enough to tackle dry cuticles. By investing in cuticle oil, you can quickly take care of the cracked skin. Simply apply oil onto your cuticles and rub in. Do this a couple times a week for best protection.

SEPHORA by OPI Brush-On Cuticle Oil

FEATURED ITEM: SEPHORA by OPI Brush-On Cuticle Oil

These are some of the products and tips I use to prepare my skin for the harsh winter months ahead. What do you do to keep your skin glowing when Old Man Winter comes calling? Share your personal tips or ask questions in the comments below!
