Keep Your Cardio Workouts Sizzling By Training Indoors

by M Stagg | The Voluptua Project™

Retro Cardio! LOL

Sometimes the summer heat is too much for exercising outdoors. Rather than skip your workout, move your cardio indoors. There are lots of options for getting your heart rate going. Check out some of the new exercise videos, the cardio machines at the gym or put on some great music and dance.

Rather than grab a magazine and spend hours on a treadmill, try doing some interval training. Interval training will get better results in less time than trudging along in a familiar rut. Your body will not be able to adapt to your new routine and is forced to change.

Interval training is simply alternating a lower and higher effort. Start out by setting your effort to a moderate rate for 4 minutes. Then, pick up your speed, the resistance or both for 3 minutes. Then return to your moderate pace. You’ll get more out of your workout and it’s more fun too.
