This week, TVP is proud to present Tracy Smith of Confident Allure!

Tracy the Individual

Formerly a Scottsdale, Arizona native, Tracy is now a resident of Kettering Ohio. She began her career as a makeup artist working for M.A.C. Cosmetics, initially as a part time artist but eventually working her way up to a management position. She has two wonderful children: an 18 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. When asked what being a makeup designer means to her she says, “Makeup artistry is a life sentence for me that I am willing to serve”. Her motto is to keep God first, stay positive and to laugh as much as she can daily.

Tracy the Professional

For 14 years Tracy has been a makeup designer and she considers it a blessing to be able to love what she does and do what she loves. She is the proud owner of Confident Allure, a full service makeup artistry business specializing in Bridal, Film, Commercial, Theatrical, Professional Ballroom Dancers, Teen Dance Team and Pageants. My freelance work has appeared in ads for Proctor and Gamble, Cincinnati Wedding, Arizona Wedding Magazine, Today’s Arizona Women, Tony and Guy, A Diamond is Forever Campaigns, Hugo Boss, Macy’s, Dillard’s and Dayton Daily News. She’s just completed an assignment as lead makeup artist for an independent film, entitled Grandma’s Hands.

Before becoming a makeup designer, Tracy was a hairstylist for twelve years before becoming a licensed cosmetologist; she is currently a licensed Esthetician and offers instructional makeup seminars and workshops. “I’m often asked, what’s the difference between a makeup artist and a makeup designer?” She explains: “Makeup designing involves blueprinting makeup specifically to an individual’s features and personality, makeup artistry focuses instead of trends”.

Complimenting her artistic flair as a makeup designer, Tracy is also a voluptuous model and voice over talent. “I prefer the term voluptuous because it represents the essence of my full figure. In my opinion, the word “plus” doesn’t represent the chic, elegance and sophistication that full figure women all over the word deserve.”, says Tracy

Tracy the Philanthropist

Working with teens is a big part of how Tracy encourages and inspires others. She volunteers her energy and time to both the award winning Chenaulte Dance Team and Studio and to Stivers School for the Arts.
